Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), the UAE's leading environmental organisation, has presented a special award to Orient Planet PR & Marketing Communications in recognition of the strategic PR initiatives that Orient Planet successfully launched in support of EEG's activities throughout 2009. The award was given during the culminating ceremony of Arabia CSR Award 2009, an event that honoured Arab leaders in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Orient Planet has been an avid advocate and supporter of pro-environmental initiatives in line with the company's CSR program. It has been the company's policy to extend support to projects and activities that benefit the greater society and promote sustainable development.
Inaugurated in 2008, Arabia CSR Award showcases best practices from the Arab World and aims to reinforce the region's reputation as a frontrunner in CSR. A total of 57 companies from the GCC, Levant and North Africa vied for the top honours in the second edition of Arabia CSR Award, which recognised winners in three categories: Small, Medium and Large.
