design
and implement several successful media campaigns to increase
EEG's visibility in the local and international community.
Following this recognition as a Corporate Member, Orient Planet
has renewed its commitment to implement a Strategic Environmental
Communications Campaign under the EEG.
"As a voluntary and non-government organisation with
limited resources, the EEG relies on active support of capable
organisations and committed individuals to achieve our goal
of protecting the environment," said Habiba Al Marashi,
Chairperson, EEG. "EEG's Corporate Membership was instituted
to tap the combined resources and goodwill of the Middle East
corporate sector to further the cause of environmental protection.
Our Corporate Members are leaders in their respective fields
and can use their resources and clout to influence policy
changes at the governmental level, channelise their efforts
to change unsustainable economic practices and reduce their
impact on the environment, as well as to influence behaviour
patterns of the community."
"Building
an awareness campaign targeted at all sections of society
is critical to the success of NGOs like Emirates Environmental
Group. Well-placed and in-depth media coverage is crucial
to heightening awareness about environmental challenges, sustaining
interest and attracting sponsors for our campaigns, as well
to gain greater public support and involvement in environment
protection. Over the past few months, Orient Planet has helped
to sustain a successful environmental communications campaign,
which has ensured the extensive reach of our activities and
goals to businesses and individuals in the region. We are
very happy with the support that we have consistently received
from this responsible and committed organisation," added
Al Marashi.
"We
are delighted to achieve Corporate Member status in the EEG.
This recognition is the result of our dedicated and sustained
efforts to enhance awareness of EEG's campaign in the Middle
East," said Nidal Abou Zaki, Managing Director, Orient
Planet PR and Marketing Communications. "Our commitment
to the cause of environmental protection is rooted in the
belief that each one of us must contribute his or her bit
to creating and maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.
We believe that environmental challenges must be met head-on,
with the cooperation of a maximum number of businesses and
individuals. We have therefore supported the strategic media
campaign to increase awareness of EEG's environmental activities
across the region."
"Orient
Planet is a serious long term campaigner in EEG's goal of
environmental protection, a crucial cause for our planet.
As EEG's Corporate Member, we will continue to provide expertise
and support to EEG's cause," added Abou Zaki.
